I will be able to send home manipulatives to my first graders to allow them to still work hands on to better understand math. It is so important for young kids to be able to visualize math to really understand it. They can use the ten frames to help them both add and subtract. We also use number lines to help us add and subtract. A few items will help me stay organized during distant learning. The magazine subscriptions will be a fun way to learn social studies without screen time.
