My school is a Title 1(low income area) school. Most of my students cannot afford a sketchbook much less the many other art supplies we would normally use in class. Due to Covid, they will not be able to share supplies either. Our Art budget relies heavily on the fact that the 200+ students could share supplies. We have moved as much of our curriculum online as possible, but Art may be their one chance to get away from their screens throughout the day. We want to give them that freedom with a physical, on paper art project. The only way to do that is to ensure all students have access to the materials they need for each project. We are trying to create kits that can be sent home for every student that needs it.
