Area rugs give students a place to gather. At the rug learning, sharing work and making friends takes place. A rug is a great place to have morning meetings at the start of each day and a place for the class to gather and learn as a class. A rug can be the heart and soul of classroom. I am a first year teacher fresh out of college. Even though we will not have students physically in our classrooms at the beginning of the year, one day we will gather around the rug again!
