These materials are secondary sources to reinforce American History content. Students will get a perspective of history seen through the eyes of adolescents. Students will receive an understanding through historical fiction that was written specifically for middle school children. Students will read this trilogy to will incorporate diversity and inclusion giving dual perspectives of American History. Literacy strategies will also be taught throughout the series to reinforce reading comprehension. Students will learn American History content and students will be provided reading, writing and comprehension strategies throughout the school year using the trilogy set.
