Currently, during technology time, the majority of my students do not have headphones. We use this time to work on programs that help foster their understanding of primary literacy and mathematics. The vast majority of the programs we access during class are sound-dependent. This makes the classroom environment overstimulating and distracting. If we were able to have a classroom set of headphones, this would make a world of difference. It would decrease the environmental noise and allow my students to focus on their own work with less of a chance to be distracted by their peers.
