First off, let me preface by saying that I LOVE my job! I am a Special Education Teacher for student that have significant social emotional delays. I teach in a self-contained program. Many of my students have experienced or are currently experiencing life scenarios that are difficult to imagine or even unimaginable that have attributed to their significant trauma. Some students are born with more challenging obstacles, some have environments that attribute to these obstacle while others have both. All of my students come from either group homes, foster homes are poverty income level families and are forced to experience technological inequalities with higher income demographics in the school district. Our district is under funded and does not have enough devices to pass out to the younger students. High school and Middle School students are taken care of first, which leaves the rest up to the teachers.
