This is a bit of a hodge-podge fundraiser from my wish-list since my first was so incredibly fully-funded! First, the majority of items are to create an inspiring learning environment for the students in the classroom. Soft rugs will let them sit and play comfortably on the floor without distracting patterns and colours. Christmas lights offer a calming glow rather than the bright white overhead office lighting. Loose parts such as animals and gemstones connect students to nature and give open-ended options for free play. An easel in the classroom lets students express themselves at any time using color and marks to convey emotions. The second part purchase is a subscription to Time Magazine for kids. My hope is that even though we will be learning online for the first few weeks, I can drop this subscription off at each student's house. I want them to learn about how print and reading is not only in books but also in news and magazines! I am so honored and grateful for your support. Let's keep loving these kids!
