These materials will make a difference for my young artists. I want them to know that I am still 'here' for them. I want them to know that art exists EVERYWHERE! I want them to take some of those "feelings" that they've been experiencing for the last 5+ months and create works of art with them. So many times, our kids cannot express 'verbally'. But, they can with a painting or sketch. I want to always encourage EXPRESSION. Some of the materials will be for remote learning, so that they can continue with their skills. I have spent over $500 of my own, so that I could have some of the Nasco Sketchbooks that I bought that were in stock. I have been impressed with what some of my young artists have achieved in a couple of weeks. I did not have enough for all of my kids. I ended up making small 'Art Journals' for some of my younger ones. I wish that I could share a pic of what my older artists, who received a sketchbook, have done. You'd be amazed.
