These Sphero Bolt robots will allow my students to take what they are learning in their core academic classes and design a robot to carry out there plan. These programmable LED matrix displays animations, characters, text, and other data. They have light sensors that enable movements based on brightness. There infrared communication enables multi-robot interactions, swarming, and games. They are durable, waterproof, and have a scratch-resistant shell. I have seen students connect principles and concepts that they have learned in math and science using these robots. Sphero's allow students to play with what they are taught. Learning through play helps students to enjoy and want to learn. I plan on creating groups within my classroom if distance learning takes place. Students will rotate the robots at home while their teammates will send them their program for the project that is assigned.
