Most students come into math class believing that they are not good at it - simply because math itself is hard. These supplies will help them realize that math can be engaging and fun. The algebra tiles will allow them to create a physical image for them to look at instead of mere letters on a page. The fraction kit and math balance will help them actually see what it means for two things to be equal. The 'Algebraic Boss Tiles Activity Book 1' and 'Real Life Algebra' will help me create lessons that engage them and realize how amazing math is. No student is bad at math because they're having trouble; they just need to have a hand reach out to them. This project will help me reach students that previously haven't been able to engage in math. I believe that no students should be left behind because he/she doesn't fit the generic model of teaching and these supplies will help me change my teaching to fit their needs.
