These books will support my students by helping us create a safe environment and culture for learning. I will use these books virtually as read-a-louds, but once we are back in the classroom they will be a part of our classroom library. I often use books within our math lessons to make connections and spark interest. Students need to be able to see themselves in books and connect to our learning. The math books help students see math from a different perspective where it is not so intimidating. The celebration of diversity in our books help us feel like we belong and also help us connect to one another. We can all grow and learn together.
