With a new computer, I will be able to reach more of my students and not keep having to watch a frozen screen. Students will enjoy my using the laptop to see the world on their school issued tablet screen to do science and math activities. The students will be able to work independently and progress at their own rate. They will also be able to work at their work stations at home without falling over to see everything. The technology will be engaging and provide meaningful and immediate feedback to the students. Students will progress in their literacy and technology skills. Students will be able to use different word work applications, listen to stories, look up information for research projects, and practice math skills. This laptop will help me help my students increase their confidence in using technology as well as expose them to the joy of electronic reading. This kind of technology is one way to level the playing field for my students as they go out into the world. The laptop is just the vehicle with which my students will be able to support their reading and math skills through academic apps.
