I am requesting 7 Amazon Fire “Kid” Tablets. These tablets will be used to access educational programs to improve their reading, writing, vocabulary, math, social studies, and technology skills. The students will use these during the day after they complete their normal classroom work and activities. The tablets will help them to continue learning even in their “free time.” Advances in technology means there are more apps and programs available to broaden and reinforce what we are learning in class. First graders love to be independent and these tablets will allow them to feel that way, while still letting me monitor what they’re seeing.
