My goal is to help my students find recyclable materials and to repurpose them into larger than life items. By studying the artist Claus Oldenburg they will be inspired to find items in their daily lives that they can re-create on a much larger scale. It is a great way for them to use math and their art skills to create the perfect gigantic work of art. This is a group project and helps students understand the meaning of teamwork and coming together to complete a large goal. It is a great way to watch students take an idea and really make it their own!
