The items that I am requesting will allow students to participate in mathematical discourse with the guidelines set for social distancing. Each student will have their own materials needed to support learning in the classroom. Each student will have their own whiteboard, scissors, glue, markers, and color pencils due to the inability to share supplies. The reason for their whiteboard is that they can hold up their boards to show their thought processes. I also request a digital writing mouse as well as a writing pad. These items are requested to help me display work and be precise in my writing for students participating in virtual learning at home. In math, communication and dialogue is essential to increasing students' understanding. The materials that are requested will allow students to communicate and engage in learning. All items will be store safely in the classroom and sanitized daily. As a teacher I want to afford all students a learning experience that doesn't place an extra expense on families during this difficult time.
