By giving each classroom in the school a copy of this book, we can create an empathetic community and create a uniform language for how we talk about empathy, kindness, compassion, and respect within the building. By using this book as our main teaching tool, we can also create staff learning and support around the topic of empathy, effectively changing our school culture. Through the support of the Donors Choose program, we can create a more empathetic and caring building not only for our students, but for our staff and community as well.
