In our classrooms we use lots of manipulatives to help students develop deep mathematical understandings. This year students cannot share material and some learning will be from home. Teachers are trying to find ways for students to learn both on and off the computer, but students need supplies at home to model the mathematics they are learning so they can make sense of the concepts. These materials will help us build at-home manipulatives kits for students. These kits will also increase student engagement and give students the comfort of having a piece of the classroom they so miss at home.
