This past year, I was able to implement full flexible seating for my classroom, and it was magical! My students took more responsibility for not only their learning but their actions as well. Having the ability to make a daily choice in their seating and being held to a higher standard allowed them to grow as students and individuals. With this year being surrounded by so many unknowns and anxiety, the materials on this list will add to our classroom environment so my students feel welcome each and every day. I have included on this list two pairs of sound-reducing headphones, as I anticipate many of my students needing a sensory break now that they've been away from school for an extended amount of time. I've also asked for more seating because having choices that are not only fun but have back support would be a bonus as well!
