In order to keep socially distancing, our desks are 6 feet apart from each other, wearing masks, and remote teaching. This helps protect our students from spreading germs. However, it is also difficult for students to share materials with others. When students have their own Scholasitc New they will also beable to take the information home to reinforce what they have learned with their families. This will also ENRICH the knowledge of their whole house hold. From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom I focus on their potential and growth while they are with me and at home. I may not be able to control their home lives, however, I can certainly control their experience during the school day. Do to the obstacle that each children carries, I want to give them every oportunity to have an enrich school year. Scholastic New is a wonderful way to explore different topics throughout each months. It goes nicely with our social studies curriculum and current events. It has text at a kindergarten/first grade level, pictures that grab the students interest and a technical peace to enhance each month and as a bonus each teacher has acess to past year topics. I would be very grateful for any help you can give. THANK YOU!
