I teach in a low income and high minority school that doesn't get really any extra funding for purchasing items for the students to do experiments with. I use household items and make up experiments with them. These kits will allow me to use something more like what I can design for my classroom. I will make up many different labs for them to do at home using mechanical advantage, kinetic energy, potential energy, and mechanical energy for my Physical Science students. I will also use these kits with my Earth Science students to do experiments on wind energy and how it generates electrical power. These will also demonstrate to them an example of kinetic energy being transformed in many other forms of energy.
