COVID 19 will not stop me from helping my students learn the skills they need to be independent and successful in life. My students were learning the alphabet, learning how to read, write, counting, do simple addition and subtraction, learning to communicate their needs and taking care of themselves before school closures. Now my living room is my classroom. It is very important that I have the resources to help my students grasp the concepts and skills they need to grow and succeed in the next school year. The document scanner camera will help me demonstrate hands-on activities, using manipulatives, showing real life items and visual aids in attention stirring ways when I'm Zooming with my students to teach them. I can use it to model step by step directions on how to complete a learning task as well as a life skills teaching lesson. I can show my modeling in blending, making words, doing math and writing for my student to see so they can do for themselves. I also can use the document scanner camera to show stories and sentence building activities to share on my Zoom lessons for my students to read and practice their reading and writing skills. Equally important, I can use the document camera to model what and how parents can help their children learn at home using home items.
