These books will make a positive difference in my students' learning because it will allow them to have more access to books that reflect themselves and their cultures. Additionally, some of the books are centered around social-emotional learning, which is critical for building community as a classroom family. Starting the year off with distance learning, I want my students to be exposed to as many books as possible that they can relate to. As I read to them, I want them to feel valued and know that I respect their culture and where they come from.

About my class
