My students need hands-on, tactile activities to engage them. Each activity in this kit is tactile for my students to continue making progress on their individual learning goals. Each home resource mirrors similar resources and activities used in the classroom. Mixing fake snow with play buttons enables the student to tactually differentiate between 2 items to identify same and different. Learning to slide a bead from left to right on a pipe cleaner teaches student pre-literacy skills. The plastic tubs keep all the activities organize and self-contained. These sensory learning resources let my students thrive at home. It gives parents the ability to work with their child at his/her own pace when not being able to physically meet with the teacher. When I am providing video conferencing instruction, I know my students have the materials available to pull out of the kit, making it easier for my students and parents to set up the learning environment.
