On top of all the pandemic stress, the protests and riots started. Many of my students hold the protesters cause close to their hearts. The students will be assembled into different small groups and each group will be assigned a different book. Through our discussions the students will see that even though they are reading different novels they all have the same message. A message that our nation is still dealing with today. A message for change - change that our children need to be apart of. We all have a huge role to play in changing our nation.
