With the wiggle seats and wiggle bands, students can fidget and move without leaving their desks. Since these seven-year-olds will likely be expected to stay there all of or most of the day, this will help them get out some of their wiggles and help them to stay focused. This will be a positive outlet for their energy sot that they can focus on academia instead of their bodies' needs to move. While we will get up to do exercises at the desk as much as possible, a constant way to fidget without distracting others will help them in the immediate lesson or independent work capacity. In addition, this will also just be something fun to break the rigidity of the rules. The plastic is easy to disinfect for sanitation and will also help the students to feel comfortable to be who they are naturally- happy 7-year-olds that need to move.
