These resources will help my class feel welcome, supported, safe, and calm. With this project I will be able to make a calming corner where students can go to reset their bodies and minds in order to participate productively with the group. This space can also provide a space for peers to go and speak to each other about any problems they may feel they have. This will help promote accountability, problem-solving, and respect. The flexible seating in my project will help create collaboration and discussions in the classroom, as well as support students who have a difficult time sitting all day. Covid school has impacted students due to spending more time at home: they struggle with collaboration and sitting in a school environment and I would like to support them in this change.
