As a new teacher this year I will strive for my Kindergarten students to be exposed to a print rich environment. Every learner deserves to see themselves represented in our class library. I will be reading books during reading groups and carpet time, and students will be able to read or picture walk during independent reading time. Our Kindergarten Library will hold high interest books and benefit all students. Print exposure is extremely important in early grades and all children should have access to quality text. These books will help to remove barriers for our learning community.
