Due to the global pandemic, I am looking for ways I can minimize the spread of germs in my classroom. In order to make my classroom safe in the fall, I will have to do away with sharing supplies. I would like each student to have their own tote to keep their math manipulatives, art supplies, puzzles, and learning games. In the event that we need to do distance learning, the totes would be easy to pack up and send home with my students. This will ensure they have the tools needed to do their school work. Imagine all of the school supplies that children share and touch every day! I am also asking for pockets to hang on the students' chairs to keep supplies from touching other students, such as their take home folders, whiteboards, and markers. Instead of stacking our chairs at the end of the day and getting a new chair in the morning, the chair pockets will be labeled with their name so each student can keep the same chair each day.
