Libraries are no longer by the book. While our learning common specializes in reading and research, education does beyond what is learned by reading and writing. Students need hands-on materials to take their dreams and turn them into realities. This is why our library needs Creative Corner! Commonly known as "maker spaces," this will be an area with materials such as coding robots, puzzles, building blocks, brain games, and more. The Creative Corner will be a place for students to work in the library with tools to inspire their desires. A work in progress, this space will be continually updated to meet the needs of our students, but they need a place to start. The following requested materials will give our scholars and artists a boost to begin their journey beyond the books.
