This set of books will help cultivate strong readers in my classroom. I will use these books as the basis for a new project I will be teaching this year. "Where the Crawdads Sing" was chosen with my students in mind. This novel will allow my students to read a current piece of literature that challenges big concepts in my course frameworks. It also engages them by bringing in other subjects like science, history, and even art. By donating to this project, you will help fund the love reading I hope to instill in my students. I have carefully chosen this book because of its ability to connect to many types of people and its vivid descriptions of the world the characters live in. It also provides an engaging storyline that is wrapped in a murder mystery. I have seen the way students light up when they get to read something that is relevant to them and makes them want to keep turning the page.
