I am requesting binders, index cards, markers, highlighters, folders, pens and more. Every student deserves the same materials to help keep them engaged and organized with their learning. With these materials, my students will be investigating the earth (topography) around them looking for patterns, cause & effect, and analyzing data. Using all of this knowledge, they will then design plans or solutions to keep us safer and create less impact on us (humans). This supply list ensures equity among my students. I may teach in a suburban district, but not all of my students will come to school prepared with the supplies needed to be an effective learner within our caring community. Each child will have the same materials given to them so families will not have the extra stress of trying to provide them themselves. Our community school believes in being equitable for all of our students and this project will allow me to stay true to our mission.
