In our classroom we use guided reading to meet our students at their own level. We know that grade level material is important but giving them books that they can read boosts confidence and motivation to read! The more my students read, the more they can grow throughout many aspects of their lives. The guided reading books are not provided by our school, especially the lower levels in second grade. We will use these books to grow them even further. The word building sets will be used to build sound awareness as well as to build words. These resources are so valuable to our class.
