Movement and flexible workspaces have become increasingly common in classrooms. This is no surprise with all the evidence to support the importance of the mind-body connection. While especially beneficial for students with attention deficits and sensory processing needs, movement can support any growing brain. Flexibility and movement will help my students become successful learners. The minds and personalities of fifth graders are constantly growing, but so are their bodies. Experiencing several growth spurts in a short amount of time leads to growing pains and clumsy coordination; which makes sitting still challenging. By contributing to this project, you're helping set my students up for success.
