These books will serve as "jumping off points" for ART lessons and discussions. This is the first grouping of books I want to start with because I feel these are important topics we in America are discussing RIGHT NOW. We need to educate our children about the beauty of living in a diverse America. Talking about hair and skin is the foundation of a self-portrait and I want these books to be used by myself and the students to think about what it truly means to be proud of yourself and have body and skin and hair positivity.

About my class
