A huge part of learning in the classroom is having centers, stations and worksheets to practice what you are learning and to engage the learner. My students need these materials in their homes. They do not have printers, and can not afford to print the number of pages - especially the things that are colored at home. Even myself, with my salary, can not afford to print all the things I know they could use and be successful at home because of the cost of printing in color. With this printer, I would be able to print up to 5200 pages in color! With this I could create binders for all my students that have stations, task cards, and hands on materials that go with the topics they are learning each month. It would me it so much more like "real" school- and it would allow them to learn and be successful with activities that are geared for all types of learners- instead of just staring at a screen for 8 hours a day.
