My students have access to a few Chromebooks when they come into the library, but there are not enough for students to be able to effectively learn technology. With these Chromebooks, students K - 5 will learn a range of skills while rotating through different stations in the library. Students will learn how to stay safe while online through games on several different sites. With a Chromebook in every students' hands, they will be able to enhance their typing skills and how to properly navigate while online. I will teach students how to find reliable sources when they are researching topics for their general education classes. Students will also get an introduction to coding which will keep them engaged, motivated, and enhance their problem solving skills. Students learn best when they are engaged and excited about their learning. Every grade level will learn how to access their Google accounts from school and home, which is incredibly important during this distance learning time. They will learn how to use all the apps available to them through Google. In this way, I can support classroom teachers with projects, standards, and lessons they are teaching.
