Morning Brain Bins are "soft start" alternative to morning work in the classroom. Rather than stress about writing or filling out a worksheet first thing in the morning, students have the opportunity to work collaboratively using a number of hands on activities like Legos, Magna Tiles, Tnker Toys, and Jenga Blocks. Together, students choose which items to play with and how to use the items. This kind of play sets the foundation for future interactions in the world and is a necessity as our first graders learn to get along with each other and solve problems together. Morning bins promote socialization, create a positive classroom environment, and allow students to think outside the box. By donating to our project, you will not only help to increase student engagement, you will help to create better future citizens.
