In my class I have a variety of races, religions and special needs. Most of my classroom library is filled with best sellers - mostly picturing white children. Especially with what is happening in the World right now, this huge list of books will help to make my library diverse. I want every student in my class to find a book with a child like them - wearing glasses, same skin color, same disability, same religion, etc. Every child should be able to feel a connection to a character in a book. Also included on this list are some items to help me keep my students 6 feet apart when we return to the classroom.
