As we approach a new school year with uncertainty, I would love for my future students to feel welcomed and united even if we start the year in a distance learning setting. My initial idea of getting a Cricut was to create a t-shirt that we can all wear on the first day of school, when we have certain google meets, virtual field trips etc. This will allow students to feel like a family and know that we are in this learning journey together ! I will be a first year teacher at PC. Our school is a Title I school and we serve a large concentration of low-income students. Many parents don't have the resources to help with classroom projects. The Cricut will not only serve my purpose of sending every one of my students a t-shirt made by me, but it will help with fun projects once we get back into the classroom. I am requesting a Cricut, which is an electric die-cut machine. It connects to a computer to cut out any shape you can think of or create. The possibilities of projects, crafts, manipulatives, and posters with the Cricut are endless.
