Students in AVID are committed, goal-driven individuals, who many times have encountered barriers that have required them to work harder than their peers just to reach the same summit. The latest challenge they have been faced with is distance learning. Our school district started the year in distance learning and it does not look like we will be heading into the classrooms in the near future. They are engaging in their classes and completing school work from home, while many are also supporting their siblings through distance learning. This project will help my students feel supported as they take on the challenge of distance learning. They will be receiving "goodie bags" full of supplies and words of encouragement to help them feel that they are not on their own.

About my class
