As my students experience different types of print, they learn about letters and about word meanings in different contexts. Having a Cricut machine will allow me to create a print-rich classroom environment. Labeling will help them recognize words, gives visual cues to the location of items, and develop responsibility as they care for material they use. I will remind and encourage my students to find labels of materials to the label in the location where it belongs. I will also go over word labels I will add to doors, sink, chairs, and other areas of my room. This will also add to the appeal and organization of the classroom. Simple, durable, and open-ended materials that invite kiddos to imagine, explore, create, and stretch their developing language and reasoning skills are the way to go. My students need toys to be safe, fun and build their intellectual, physical and emotional skills. Our toys, games and puzzles will keep them entertained, while improving logic, problem solving, hand-eye coordination and memory skills. To add, it will allow me to have more individual instruction.
