I can picture my students reading on the bench in our special classroom reading nook. Popular peer picked books will be prominently displayed and shared in this area. Reading in the book nook will be rewarded to students for a variety of reasons, and will be shared in a way that everyone gets acknowledged at one point or another. This will work toward building a classroom culture where reading is a privilege and a reward for a job well done. I want my students to enjoy and eagerly anticipate daily reading time. This project will help my mission to build a positive reading classroom culture.

About my class
