The books I have chosen as professional development will help me to better understand how I can make an impact on students lives in the fight for social justice. Much of making a change, comes with educating ourselves. I want to educate myself, in order to share this knowledge with my students and coworkers, in hopes of creating a more aware and accepting community. Together we can change the world. My hope is to start small, with the community in which I teach, and then have that knowledge be passed along by many, for years to come.
