My students must keep up with the latest advancements in 21st century education because students like to use devices and I want them to learn how to use technology to show their learning. Education is changing every single day, and so are the interests of my students. Students in my class like to use computer devices to watch videos or play games and I would like to get my students started in learning how to create their own digital projects. My school’s media center doesn’t have a large or current collection of tablets or stylus pens accessible to students during this pandemic, so I would like the students to have these items to enhance their learning. Students are learning how to type, swipe, and pinch their way through the digital world, but unless they learn how to build with computers they will only be consumers instead of creators. Helping students begin to learn that creating with computers is fun and is the perfect way to build better learners. Computer literacy is the gateway to 21st Century Skills that will benefit students now and in their future. My students will love to show their learning in a modern way.
