Flexible seating will make a difference in my students learning by providing them with choices to empower their learning. Instead of traditional school desks, my students will choose which seat choice works best for them. The best part about flexible seating is that there is no assigned seats. Students can simply choose where they are most comfortable each school day. Having a variety of seats and tables will increase student focus. Giving students a comfortable classroom environment, where they are able to focus, will greatly contribute to their learning. Flexible seating is known to lead to improved motivation, academic performance, and behavior. The seating and tables that I have selected will help my students by giving them additional seating options to make more effective learning choices. The wobble stools will allow students to move while working on activities each day. This is beneficial to students whom are always on the move, along with the fidget chair bands. The floor cushions are a more comfortable alternative when students are sitting at the lower tables. Lap desks are great for when student just need a quiet space to themselves. The tables are necessary in order to put the flexible seating plan all together, as of right now my classroom only has individual desks for each student.
