Without funding help, our school cannot afford a wide range of art media for our scholars to experience. Purchasing enough linoleum for linoleum cut printmaking is beyond my art budget. Carving into linoleum and creating a block print is an extremely tactile experience; making it a perfect opportunity for achievement and success for kinetic learners. The printmaking process forces one to think about negative space and to imagine the design in reverse. It's a great work-out for one's brain as well as for one's hands! And, all this before we start rolling out the ink!
