Presently, four teachers share the same set of thirty, scratched and dirty lab safety goggles, many of which have torn elastic or broken sides. The "sanitizing cabinet" (located in another teacher's room) hasn't worked for at least a year. In light of COVID-19, I feel it is extremely important to keep safety glasses in one classroom and have a working, sanitizing cabinet to help protect my students during hands-on labs. Lice are gross, but this virus is dangerous. I am asking for a UV sanitizing cabinet to keep in my classroom and a set of twenty-five, comfortable, safety glasses that only my students will use. Without adequate safety equipment, their hands-on learning experiences will be limited.
