In our classroom we have a wide range of learners. Each student brings their unique experience, talent and interest. Independent reading is an integral part of our program. We start our day with quiet reading time. Our students enjoy reading with their partners before transitions and snacks. And we finish our day with a read-aloud. I love seeing the excitement that books bring out in our children! Students read and write about their stories, and share them with their classmates. I would love to create a library for our emergent readers, that covers their interests and skills, that would enable us to build a community of life-long readers and thinkers!
