Just like us, my students, need a few minutes to wake up and get learning ready. These materials will give my students a choice when they come into my classroom instead of giving them a worksheet. Students will get a few free minutes to get their day started. So many times students come to the door in the morning hungry and still sleepy. Soft starts give the students an option of activities that are free thinking. This also gives them a few extra minutes to finish up breakfast or even just lay their heads down for a few extra moments. Our students are just like us and enjoy leisure and choice and this will give me the opportunity to give a great morning start for my students.
