I have selected books that will help my students learn about various walks of life and the things that make us different and unique. These books will help my students feel represented in my classroom and educate them about people who they may not see represented in our community. I am hoping that this will be one step towards making our community more compassionate and caring towards everyone. Students will be able to explore these books at school and at home. I also picked some higher level and lower level books that will be perfect for read-aloud s with the whole class. The lower level books can also be used with our first-grade buddies!
